This module’s major aim is to provide students with information that allows them to make an informed choice between the two areas of emphasis: Ecology & Environmental Pollution. The module complements a similar ENV114 in the same semester of year 2. This module aims to provide students with an introduction to the basic concepts of the earth system, ecology, and evolution. In addition to placing ecology, within a geosystem and evolution context, it highlights both natural processes and human impacts on ecological systems, and uses case studies to discuss the challenges and possible solutions to environmental pollution.
